Sold a Single Family home in 2014 in Centereach, NY.

After 43 wonderful years in our home, we thought it time to start thinking of down-sizing and retiring. Knowing that neighbors had their home on the market (at a reasonable price) for over 7 years, and seeing other signs up for longer than a year, we began to interview realtors. All came with impeccable recommendations, knowledge of the area, and were charming. When we discussed the price we wanted for our home, each told us that it would be a fool's errrand to put our home up at our desired price as the neighborhood and the market, despite our "move-in-ready" home would not garner that price. We then interviewed Rita!!!! She realisically discussed the neighborhood and the market, offered us a short-term plan, as well as a long-term plan to lower the price if need be, which was reasonable. She immediately advertised it. Held a well-received open-house, and the buyers and agents made appointments to come! She was in constant contact with us, willing to meet all our needs when showing our home, and graciously and respectfully understood that our home was our castle! Our house sold in under a month for near listing price!!! The only thing I can laughingly say about our experience with Rita is that it was far too brief!!! From listing to closing, I had a professional and a friend at my side! Could I ask for anything more????
